Pulse Flash Dryer

Overview

The QG pulse flash dryer is a high-throughput dryer based on the principle of instantaneous drying. Fast-moving carrier air suspends the wet material in the hot stream, intensifying the whole drying process and raising heat- and mass-transfer rates. Almost all free moisture is removed without degrading the material, giving a marked increase in output over conventional dryers.

Working Principle

Wet material is fed into a fast-moving stream of hot air that suspends it, so non-bound moisture is removed in seconds along the drying duct. The dried product is then separated from the air by an improved cyclone designed to prevent material from tumbling without discharging.

Applications

A wide range of powders and granules including silica, resins, titanium dioxide, activated carbon and calcium carbonate, and especially recommended for light materials such as wood powder, sawdust, rice bran and bran.
