Three-Dimensional Motion Mixer
Three-dimensional motion mixer whose barrel translates, rotates and tumbles for fast, highly uniform blending without dead corners or segregation.
Overview
In the three-dimensional motion mixer, the mixing barrel moves through a complex three-dimensional path of translation, rotation and tumbling. The material rolls and flows along the barrel in continually changing directions, achieving fast, highly uniform mixing free of dead corners and of the centrifugal segregation seen in ordinary mixers.
Features
- High mixing uniformity, typically up to 99% or more
- No dead corners and no centrifugal segregation by density or particle size
- Gentle action that protects granules
- Large loading ratio and short mixing time
- Simple, easy-to-clean barrel
Working Principle
The barrel is driven through linked translational, rotational and inversion movements in three dimensions. As the directions change continuously, the material is repeatedly turned over and dispersed, so different components blend rapidly and evenly throughout the charge.
